Experience Mozart's timeless music in the historic Marble Hall – from "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" to Sarasate's fiery "Zigeunerweisen". An evening of elegance and passion with Ensemble 1756.
In the Baroque Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, Ensemble 1756, together with solo violinist Kamilė Kubiliūtė, presents a concert celebrating the versatile works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The program spans from the youthful freshness of the Divertimento in D major K. 136 to the expressive sound world of the Violin Concerto in A major K. 219, in which the solo violin takes on an operatic voice in an intense dialogue with the strings. The overture to "Le Nozze di Figaro" and the Serenade in G major K. 525 "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" showcase Mozart’s mastery in clarity, elegance, and compositional sophistication.
The evening concludes with Pablo de Sarasate’s "Zigeunerweisen" op. 20, a work brimming with passion and virtuosity inspired by Hungarian-Romani musical traditions. Ensemble 1756, founded in Salzburg, brings together musicians who have largely trained at the Mozarteum. With stylistic awareness and interpretive curiosity, the ensemble revives a vibrant chamber music tradition. Kamilė Kubiliūtė shapes the program with technical mastery and profound expressiveness, as the violin oscillates between virtuosity and emotional depth.
