Description

In the magnificent marble hall of Schloss Mirabell, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, Ensemble 1756, together with solo oboist Emmanuelle Lalancette, presents a concert that vividly showcases Mozart’s musical range. The program spans from the overture to "Le Nozze di Figaro" K. 492, through the youthful freshness of the Salzburg Divertimento in D major K. 136, to the mature elegance of the Serenade in G major K. 525, known as "Eine kleine Nachtmusik."

At the heart of the performance is the oboe, whose lyrical tone and expressive nuances captivate the audience. Particularly in the Quartet for Oboe and Strings in F major K. 370 and the Concerto for Oboe and Strings in C major K. 314, an intense musical dialogue unfolds between the soloist and the ensemble. Ensemble 1756, whose members predominantly trained at the Mozarteum Salzburg, combines chamber music precision with sonic diversity, creating a striking listening experience.
