In the Baroque Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, Ensemble 1756 presents a concert featuring works by Vivaldi and Mozart. On period instruments, the orchestra performs Mozart’s Salzburg Divertimento in D major K. 136, Vivaldi’s famous Four Seasons, and the Salzburg Divertimento in F major K. 138. Founded in 2006, the ensemble specializes in the historical performance practice of the 17th and 18th centuries and is renowned for its authentic sound. With performances in international concert halls, it has established itself as one of the leading Baroque orchestras. Florian Moser, Baroque violin, leads the performance in one of the most beautiful concert halls in the world.
