Description

In the historic Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, Ensemble 1756 presents a concert on original instruments. The program combines Mozart’s cheerful Salzburg Divertimenti in D major (KV 136) and F major (KV 138) with Vivaldi’s exhilarating "Four Seasons"—a masterpiece of Baroque program music that captures the moods of nature in sound.

Founded in 2006, Ensemble 1756 is dedicated to the historically informed interpretation of music from the 17th and 18th centuries. By using historical instruments and ensembles, the performance creates a sound as close as possible to the era. Under the direction of Baroque violinist Florian Moser, the concert promises a vivid journey into the world of the Baroque—between virtuosic elegance and emotional depth.
