Description

The puppet theater presents the unique correspondence between Friedrich Torberg and Ephraim Kishon – two influential writers of the 20th century who shared a special connection as survivors of National Socialism. Over two decades, they engaged in a humorous, often mocking, and always witty exchange that reflected mutual admiration, conflict, and reconciliation.

The actors Michael Maertens and Daniel Keberle bring the letters to life with their interpretation. The event is accompanied by Klezmer Reloaded, who enrich the atmosphere with traditional Klezmer music and evoke the cultural roots of the two writers. An evening that combines literature, history, and music in an unusual way.
