Three internationally celebrated musicians – Yamen Saadi (violin), Sara Ferrández (viola) and Kian Soltani (cello) – join forces for an evening featuring two masterpieces of the string trio repertoire. Mozart’s Divertimento in E-flat major K. 563, his only completed work in this genre, shines with its balanced elegance and rich melodic abundance. Beethoven’s String Trio in C minor Op. 9/3, on the other hand, is considered groundbreaking: with its dramatic intensity and structural complexity, it already points to the composer’s later string quartets.
The intimate setting of the string trio allows for exceptional sonic transparency and dialogic density, which the musicians illuminate with technical brilliance and interpretive depth. An evening that places the diversity and expressive power of this rarely performed genre at the center.
