Singer and Musicians' Regular Meetup at Kuglhof Salzburg

At the singers' and musicians' regulars' table in the Gasthaus Kuglhof, folk music comes alive—not as a perfect performance, but as a communal experience. As the musicologist Prof. Franz Eibner puts it: the inn is the "university of folk music," a place where songs and sounds from the people are passed on and revived.

Here, people from all backgrounds make music and sing together, whether with instruments, their voices, or simple objects like keys or clapping. The focus is on the joy of spontaneous participation: whether as active contributors or listening guests, everyone is invited to become part of the moment. The evening celebrates the diversity of folk music and the camaraderie it fosters—without any pressure to perform, but with plenty of enthusiasm.
