Description

In the historic Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, one of Salzburg's most significant concert venues, the Mozart Consort Salzburg presents works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonín Dvořák. The ensemble, dedicated to the music of Mozart and his era, performs Mozart's "March in D Major K. 290", the "Divertimento in D Major K. 205", and the well-known "Serenade in G Major K. 525 'Eine kleine Nachtmusik'" on this evening. After the intermission, Dvořák's "Concerto for Cello and Strings in B Minor Op. 104" follows, performed by Matthias Beckmann on the cello.

The Marble Hall, once a venue for performances by the Mozart family, lends the concert a special historical atmosphere. The musicians of the ensemble combine years of experience, including engagements at the Salzburg Festival or the Mozarteum Orchestra.
