Description

A musical experiment of the highest caliber awaits visitors at the concert by the saxophone quartet Kebyart: Four outstanding musicians – Pere Méndez, Víctor Serra, Robert Seara, and Daniel Miguel – blend Mozart’s genius with contemporary sounds and their own arrangements. The program spans from Mozart’s Adagio and Fugue in C Minor and Divertimento in F Major through Mendelssohn’s Fuga & Capriccio to Widmann’s 7 Caprices, composed specifically for Kebyart.

With György Ligeti’s 6 Bagatelles and Dani López Pradas’ Echoing Rhapsodies – a homage to Gershwin – the ensemble showcases its versatility. Even Leonard Cohen’s Take This Waltz finds its place in an arrangement by the quartet, highlighting the playful dialogue between classical, modern, and pop music. Kebyart reinterprets Mozart’s dramatic, passionate, and lively sides – an evening filled with surprises and virtuosic soundscapes.
