Description

The Kuss Quartet presents two of the last string quintets by Wolfgang Amadé Mozart: the C minor KV 406/516b and the E-flat major KV 614. These works form the historical core of the program, which is expanded with contemporary compositions.

Under the motto "Postcards to Mozart," specially commissioned pieces are performed, including the world premiere of a work by Sarah Nemtsov. The connection between classical tradition and modern music is complemented by the visual accompaniment of Graz artist Dieter Puntigam, who is collaborating with the ensemble for the first time. The performers are Jana Kuss (violin I), Oliver Wille (violin II), William Coleman (viola), Mikayel Hakhnazaryan (cello), and Samuel Rosenthal (viola).
