Alternative Partner Dance with Salty Fusion

Salty Fusion is an open partner dance event that welcomes people of all experience levels and identities. The focus is on breaking traditional roles: all participants learn both leading and following, as dance knows no gender boundaries.

Fusion combines elements from tango, blues, contact improvisation, and other styles into a fluid, improvisation-friendly movement language. Dancing takes place to diverse music that allows for creative interpretation. The evening begins with a 1.5-hour workshop that teaches the basics, followed by free dancing until late in the evening. In the summer, the event takes place in Donnenberg Park when the weather is good, and indoors at HOSI Salzburg if it rains. Participation is on a donation basis—the amount can be freely chosen. The instruction is provided in a mix of German and English.
