Description

Charles Dickens’ timeless Christmas story "A Christmas Carol" comes to life in this literary-musical performance. Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly and hard-hearted man feared by his fellow human beings, receives a visit from three spirits on the night before Christmas. They show him his mistakes and failures and initiate a profound transformation.

CAMERATA Salzburg presents a specially developed version of the classic, narrated by the speakers Max Urlacher and musically accompanied by Anna Lindenbaum on the violin as well as musicians from the ensemble. The production combines acting and music into a magical experience for children aged 8 and up and adults. With works by Handel, Mozart, Gruber and others, a mood-setting soundscape is created that perfectly fits the Christmas season.

The captivating combination of dramatic performance and selected music has already delighted audiences and educators in the past. Now the production returns and invites you to a literary-musical experience.
