Free improvisation with Yoram Rosilio (double bass) at Jazzit Salzburg. An evening filled with spontaneous sounds, open sessions, and musical experiments – beginners welcome!
Description
The free Wednesday with NiM & Hear is a monthly fixture for musicians and music lovers of free improvisation. The event begins with an opener concert and leads into an open session that welcomes both beginners and experienced improvisers alike. At the heart of the event is Yoram Rosilio, a Paris-born double bassist, composer, and tireless initiator of artistic collectives. His work spans composition and spontaneous improvisation, reinterpreting traditions and questioning musical conventions.
Rosilio is known for projects such as Tikkun, a Sephardic post-free-bop ensemble, and Anti RuBber brAiN fAct0rY, an orchestra that shatters established forms. His work creates spaces for unexpected encounters and spontaneous sound experiments where individual voices and collective intelligence converge. The event invites you to experience this dynamic world of free improvisation live.
