DIY punk and indie bands from Salzburg celebrate the release of their sampler with high-energy live performances. Subculture instead of high culture – raw, honest, and full of passion!
Description
The Rockhouse Bar is celebrating the release of the "Indie Goschn!" sampler – a cassette featuring 13 DIY punk and indie bands from Salzburg, providing them with a platform. As a counterpoint to the commercial music scene and a response to the lack of rehearsal spaces, the project showcases local subculture away from glossy polish and tourist hype. Five of the participating acts will perform at the release party.
Gnæd delivers high-energy bursts of rage with dialect hardcore and driving 2/4 rhythms from Salzburg’s "Sumpfland." Lûs leans into dark, brutal sounds between doomsday grunge and noise, while Elster oscillates between nervous garage/noise aesthetics and a minimalist setup, blending post-punk and problem-pop. MT Signal combines post-punk, funk-rock, and spoken word into raw, improvised moments, and Season Of Plenty surprises with rare live performances of their synth-heavy bitcrusher ballads.
An evening for anyone looking to discover alternative music beyond the mainstream.
