Description

The Mozart Consort Salzburg invites you to a concert featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonín Dvořák. The program includes Mozart’s cheerful March in D major K. 290, the elegant Divertimento in D major K. 205, and the world-famous Serenade in G major K. 525 "Eine kleine Nachtmusik," a quintessential example of classical lightness. After the intermission, Dvořák’s expressive Cello Concerto in B minor Op. 104, performed by Matthias Beckmann, will be heard.

Founded in 1999, the ensemble brings together experienced musicians from Salzburg’s orchestras and festivals. With dedication, it focuses on the music of Mozart and his contemporaries, spanning repertoire from the Viennese Classical period to Romantic masterpieces. The concert takes place in the historic Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, whose opulent Baroque decor and musical tradition—once home to performances by the Mozart family—make the evening a truly special experience.
