Description

In the Baroque Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, the Mozart Consort Salzburg presents a concert featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonín Dvořák. Founded in 1999, the ensemble brings together musicians with years of experience in renowned Salzburg orchestras and festivals.

The program begins with Mozart’s cheerful and elegant "March in D Major K. 290" and the "Divertimento in D Major K. 205," followed by the world-famous "Serenade in G Major, 'Eine kleine Nachtmusik.'" After the intermission, Dvořák’s profound "Concerto for Cello and Strings in B Minor, Op. 104" is performed, characterized by lyrical melodies and dramatic accents. The soloist is cellist Matthias Beckmann.

The Mozart Consort primarily focuses on the Viennese Classical period but enriches its repertoire with Baroque and Romantic works—always with a connection to Salzburg’s musical tradition.
