Description

In the magnificent marble hall of Schloss Mirabell, one of Salzburg’s most beautiful concert venues, the Mozart Consort Salzburg presents a program featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Camille Saint-Saëns. The concert includes Mozart’s March in D major K. 290, the Divertimento in D major K. 205, the Romance in D major, and the Serenade in G major "Eine kleine Nachtmusik." The program is complemented by the Salzburg Divertimento in F major K. 138 and Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto in A minor Op. 33/1, performed by Matthias Beckmann on the cello.

Founded in 1999, the ensemble brings together experienced musicians who perform with, among others, the Mozarteum Orchestra or at the Salzburg Festival. Their repertoire spans from Viennese Classical to Baroque and Romantic music, always with a focus on Mozart’s genius and his contemporaries.
