Description

This tour takes you into the Baroque heart of Salzburg and reveals the unique interplay of 1,300 years of rule, art, and architecture of the Salzburg prince-archbishops – once political and religious power centers of the Holy Roman Empire.

Visitors explore the lavishly decorated ceremonial rooms of the Residenz, enjoy a spectacular view of the Old Town from the Dom terrace, and admire Gothic sculptures and Baroque paintings in the Cathedral Museum. A highlight is the Art and Curiosity Cabinet with curious and precious exhibits, followed by the Long Gallery of St. Peter, which presents valuable objects from the Benedictine monastery. A tour that brings to life the Baroque splendor in a rare ensemble found in Europe.
