Description

The wind players of the Berlin Philharmonic perform outstanding works of wind music as part of this chamber concert. The program begins with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Serenade in E-flat major K. 375, a masterpiece of classical chamber music. This is followed by Ludwig van Beethoven’s Octet in E-flat major op. 103 "Parthia," which stands out for its harmonic diversity. The concert concludes with Franz Krommer’s Octet in F major op. 57, a rarely performed gem of the Romantic era.

The performers are Jonathan Kelly and Andreas Wittmann (oboe), Alexander Bader and Matic Kuder (clarinet), Stefan Schweigert (bassoon), Andrej Žust and Sarah Willis (horn), as well as Martin Heinze on double bass, who complements the ensemble sonically.
