Description

This concert brings together classical masterpieces with an excursion into the world of tango. Gautier Capuçon, one of the most renowned cellists of today, performs alongside the young pianist Mirabelle Kajenjeri – winner of his foundation for the promotion of emerging talent – in a multifaceted program. The repertoire includes Robert Schumann’s poetic "Fantasiestücke op. 73", Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s lyrical "Cello Sonata No. 2 in D major op. 58", Johannes Brahms’ expressive "Cello Sonata No. 2 in F major op. 99", and Astor Piazzolla’s passionate "Le Grand Tango".

Capuçon captivates with his virtuosic technique and deep resonance, while Kajenjeri impresses with her musical maturity. The concert not only offers a cross-section of cello literature but also provides insight into the promotion of young talent through Capuçon’s commitment.
