Dive into Mozart's world! Discover fascinating facts about his life in Salzburg and Christmas traditions during the composer's time – with a small surprise from the Christmas market.
Description
This themed tour takes you through the world of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart at the Salzburg court of the Prince-Archbishops. Visitors discover how the composer worked in the opulent rooms of the Residenz and in Salzburg Cathedral – his central places of work, for which he created church music and compositions for festive occasions. The Christmas special sheds light on how the Mozart family spent the holidays and which musical traditions shaped the 18th century.
Following the tour, a chamber concert featuring works by Mozart awaits, including "Morgen kommt der Weihnachtsmann" (KV 265) and the aria "Dies Bildnis ist bezaubernd schön" from "The Magic Flute." A small Christmas surprise from the Salzburg Christkindlmarkt rounds off the visit.
