Description

In the magnificent Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, where the Mozart family once performed for the Archbishops of Salzburg, the Mozart Consort Salzburg presents a concert featuring works by Mozart, Vivaldi, and Boccherini. The program includes Mozart’s cheerful Salzburg Divertimenti KV 136 and KV 138 as well as his world-famous 'Eine kleine Nachtmusik.' The concert is complemented by Vivaldi’s Concerto for Guitar and Strings RV 93 and Boccherini’s lively Quintet 'Fandango.'

Founded in 1999, the ensemble primarily dedicates itself to the music of Mozart and his contemporaries, with its repertoire also encompassing Baroque and Romantic works. The musicians of the Mozart Consort Salzburg are experienced artists who perform, among others, with the Mozarteum Orchestra, at the Salzburg Festival, and in the Salzburg Cathedral Music. With Cecilio Perera on guitar, the concert promises a special sonic enrichment.
