Flute Concert in the Marble Hall

The castle concert in the baroque Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace in Salzburg is a special musical experience. The Marble Hall is a historically significant concert hall where the Mozart family once performed for the archbishops. The ensemble Orphée, consisting of excellent musicians from the most renowned Salzburg orchestras, presents works by Haydn, Mozart, and Rossini. The program includes the overture from Mozart's 'The Abduction from the Seraglio', the concerto for flute and strings in D major, Rossini's 'La Cenerentola – Fantasie élégante', as well as Haydn's Symphony No. 101 in D major 'The Clock'. The ensemble adapts symphonic works for chamber music performances and offers variable formations that convey the power and beauty of music.
