Description

In the Baroque Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, one of Salzburg’s most beautiful and historically significant concert halls – once a venue where the Mozart family performed – Ensemble 1756, together with solo oboist Emmanuelle Lalancette, presents a multifaceted program featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The concert spans various creative phases of the composer and showcases the breadth of his musical expression.

At the heart of the program is the oboe as a solo instrument, whose lyrical tone and technical precision shine in Mozart’s compositions. The program includes the overture to Le Nozze di Figaro, the Salzburg Divertimento in D major, the Quartet for Oboe and Strings in F major, and the Serenade in G major, Eine kleine Nachtmusik. Ensemble 1756, made up of graduates of the Mozarteum Salzburg, combines chamber-music precision with rich tonal variety. An intense musical dialogue between the soloist and the ensemble promises a captivating listening experience.
