Palace Concert Featuring Works by Mozart in the Marble Hall

In the historic Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, Ensemble 1756, together with solo oboist Emmanuelle Lalancette, presents a Mozart program that reflects the diversity of his oeuvre. Founded in Salzburg and composed of musicians from renowned orchestras, the ensemble captivates with chamber-music precision and vibrant sound in flexible line-ups.

At the heart of the program is the oboe with its singing tone. The concert features Mozart’s overture to Le Nozze di Figaro, the Salzburg Divertimento in D major, the Quartet for Oboe and Strings in F major, and the serenade Eine kleine Nachtmusik. The highlight is the Concerto for Oboe and Strings in C major, where technical brilliance and an intense musical dialogue between soloist and ensemble create a striking sonic experience. The baroque Marble Hall, once a stage for the Mozart family, lends the concert a special historical atmosphere.
