In the historic Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, works of the Baroque and Classical periods are brought to life on original instruments. Ensemble 1756, founded in 2006 in Salzburg, performs Mozart’s Salzburg Divertimenti in D major (KV 136) and F major (KV 138) as well as Vivaldi’s famous "Four Seasons." With its authentic sound, adhering to historical performance practices, the ensemble creates a bridge to the music of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Under the direction of Florian Moser on the Baroque violin, the concert becomes a special experience. The ensemble, known for its unity and homogeneity, has already performed in international halls and has been celebrated for its stylistic precision. Program changes remain possible. An evening that brings the rhetoric and elegance of Baroque music vividly to life.
