Description

In the Baroque Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, works by Vivaldi and Mozart are played in a historically informed performance. Ensemble 1756 presents Mozart’s cheerful Salzburg Divertimenti KV 136 and KV 138, as well as Vivaldi’s "The Four Seasons"—a cycle that captures images of nature in masterful sounds—on original instruments.

Under the direction of Florian Moser, Baroque violinist, Ensemble 1756 combines stylistic precision with an authentic sound. Founded in Salzburg, the ensemble is dedicated to music from the 17th and 18th centuries and impresses with balanced, historically oriented ensembles. An evening that unites Baroque elegance with lively interpretation.
