Description

In the historic Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, one of Salzburg's most significant concert halls where the Mozart family once performed, the Mozart Consort Salzburg presents a classical concert featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Haydn. The program highlights Mozart's famous Serenade in G major, K. 525 "Eine kleine Nachtmusik," as well as other compositions such as the "Salzburg Symphony" in D major, K. 136, and the String Quartet in B-flat major, K. 159. The evening is further enriched by Haydn's Cello Concerto in C major, Hob. VIIb:1, with Matthias Beckmann as the solo cellist.

Founded in 1999, the ensemble primarily dedicates itself to the works of Mozart and his contemporaries. The musicians of the Mozart Consort Salzburg bring extensive experience, including engagements with the Mozarteum Orchestra and the Salzburg Festival.
