Experience baroque masterpieces and classical sounds in the historic Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace. The Mozart Consort Salzburg presents works by Mozart, Handel, Vivaldi, and more in a unique atmosphere.
In the baroque Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, one of Salzburg's most beautiful concert halls, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, the Mozart Consort Salzburg presents a festive concert. Founded in 1999, the ensemble is passionately dedicated to the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his contemporaries. The musicians, including members of the Mozarteum Orchestra and the Salzburg Festival, interpret a program featuring masterpieces from the Baroque and Classical periods.
The program includes Mozart's Salzburg Divertimento in D major KV 136 and the Serenade in G major KV 525 'Eine kleine Nachtmusik,' Leopold Mozart's musical sleigh ride, and Albinoni's Adagio in G minor. As soloist, harpist Laura Laszloffy will perform Vivaldi's Concerto for Harp and Strings in D major RV 93 and Handel's Concerto for Harp and Strings in B flat major op. 4/6. An evening that brings Salzburg's rich musical tradition to life.
