Description

The award-winning play The Other Mozart tells the true, often forgotten story of Maria Anna "Nannerl" Mozart, the sister of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart. As a child prodigy, pianist, and composer, she performed across Europe alongside her brother and was celebrated just as much as he was. Yet while his work remains well-known today, her contributions were lost in the patriarchal structures of 18th-century music history.

In a captivating solo performance, the artist Sylvia Milo—who also conceived the piece—embodies the role of Nannerl. The play not only highlights her extraordinary talent but also the societal barriers that led to her work being ignored for so long. A moving tribute to a forgotten genius, accessible to audiences aged 12 and up.
