Description

As part of the Mozart Week 2027, the award-winning play The Other Mozart by Sylvia Milo will be performed. It tells the true, yet forgotten story of Maria Anna "Nannerl" Mozart, the sister of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who traveled across Europe as a child prodigy, virtuoso pianist, and composer, celebrated just as much as her brother. While Wolfgang's work remains alive today, Nannerl's life and achievements have fallen into obscurity.

Sylvia Milo, who wrote and directed the piece herself, delivers a captivating solo performance. The performance is conducted exclusively in English and is suitable for teenagers and adults aged 12 and above. A moving portrait of talent, obscurity, and the role of women in music history.
