Mozart’s "Così fan tutte" reimagined: Students and young people question love, loyalty, and trust in a contemporary staging. Music theater with depth and a fresh perspective.
Description
As part of the Mozart Week 2027, Mozart's opera "Così fan tutte" will be performed in an innovative new interpretation. The opera, a timeless exploration of trust, morality, and human relationships, blends comedic lightness with profound drama. Under the musical direction of Kai Röhrig and the stage direction of Florentine Klepper, the famous "experiment in love" is re-examined.
Students from the Department of Opera & Music Theatre at the Mozarteum University and young people from Salzburg, together with author Lena Reißner, explore how central themes such as love, fidelity, and trust are addressed today. The production combines Mozart's music with the perspectives of the younger generation and raises relevant societal questions. The ARCOENSEMBLE for contemporary music provides musical accompaniment. An event in cooperation with the International Mozarteum Foundation for visitors aged 14 and above.
