"HOLIDAI – FINALLY REAL VACATION" is an interactive AI theater piece by the media art group gold extra that immerses visitors in a vacation seemingly tailored perfectly to their wishes. Dream beaches, adventures, and smart home technology merge with crime-noir elements into an experience that unfolds with the audience—each time new and unpredictable.
The piece questions how artificial intelligence shapes our experiences: What remains of freedom when algorithms take over mishaps, errors, and even the navigation of life? And what role does the audience play in a world where AI not only assists but actively co-creates the narrative?
A coproduction with gold extra, realized by a team led by Reinhold Bidner and Georg Hobmeier. The group combines media art, gaming, and theater, having previously created documentary escape-room experiences like "BORDER GRID".
