Three Austrian school orchestras and choirs unite their voices for an electrifying concert featuring works by Poulenc, Gershwin, and Beethoven. A musical experience for young listeners!
Description
In the youth concert "Young & Free," the choirs and orchestras of the music grammar schools in Salzburg, Linz, and Innsbruck join their voices for a special musical event. Under the direction of Tobias Wögerer, the young musicians perform works by Francis Poulenc, George Gershwin, and Ludwig van Beethoven—a program that combines musical masterpieces with youthful passion.
The program features Poulenc’s "Gloria" for soprano solo, choir, and orchestra, Gershwin’s iconic "Rhapsody in Blue," and the rousing finale from Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. The concert is more than just a performance: it is a declaration of freedom—political, cultural, and spiritual. The energy and conviction of the young artists make this project a unique experience in which music becomes a powerful medium for community and expression.
