Description

Under the moderation of tenor Rolando Villazón, young musicians with bilingual roots present a concert that blends classical works with modern influences. Serbian-German trumpeter Nikola Curović performs Alexander Arutiunian's Trumpet Concerto in A-flat major – a piece that reminds him of his homeland and his father's musical passion.

The Slovenian-Austrian pianist Matej Dzido showcases his versatile talent with his own compositions as well as lively Latin jazz arrangements of well-known works, including Mozart's "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" in rumba style and Beethoven's "Für Elise" in salsa montuno style. Also featured are Alberto Ginastera's "3 danzas argentinas" and Astor Piazzolla's "Oblivion."

The Italian-German siblings Chiara (violin) and Giuliano Sannicandro (acoustic guitar) unite classical and South American sounds. The program includes excerpts from Bach's Sonata in E minor, BWV 1023, Manuel de Falla's "7 canciones populares españolas," and Piazzolla's "Night Club 1960." An evening that transcends musical boundaries and celebrates cultural diversity.
