Description

This concert offers a glimpse into the future of classical music: Four prize winners of the 2026 Mozart Competition and the 2025 Lilli Lehmann Medal – Anastasia Fedorenko (soprano), Xunyue Zhang (violin), Bogdan Dugalić and Alessandro Misciasci (both piano) – present a diverse program. The International Mozart Competition has been a springboard for international careers for decades, and the talents gathered here are at the beginning of a promising career.

The focus is on works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, including the lyrical piano sonata in B-flat major K. 281 and the dramatic violin sonata in E minor K. 304. The repertoire is complemented by Béla Bartók’s expressive solo violin, Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst’s virtuosic études, as well as modern compositions such as Sarah Nemtsov’s atmospheric "Cloud Study [Skying II]." A special highlight is Mozart’s "Abendempfindung" K. 523, followed by Verdi’s famous aria of Gilda from "Rigoletto." After a break, the evening continues with Mozart’s Fantasy in D minor K. 397 and the Rondo in A minor K. 511 as further highlights.
