In the Baroque Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, Ensemble 1756, together with solo violinist Kamilė Kubiliūtė, presents a concert that centers on key works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The program includes Mozart’s early Salzburg Divertimento in D major K. 136, the Violin Concerto in A major K. 219, as well as the overture to "Le Nozze di Figaro" K. 492 and the famous Serenade in G major K. 525 "Eine kleine Nachtmusik." The evening concludes with Pablo de Sarasate’s "Zigeunerweisen" op. 20, a work full of passion and virtuosity.
The ensemble, founded in Salzburg, brings together musicians who have largely trained at the Mozarteum and now perform in leading European orchestras. With stylistic precision and interpretive curiosity, it blends chamber music tradition with lively dialogue. As a soloist, Kamilė Kubiliūtė shapes the program with technical mastery and emotional depth, placing the violin at the heart as both a lyrical voice and a virtuosic narrator.
