"Max – The Snorkel Monster" is a imaginative family theater play for ages 5 and up by Beat Fäh. Max, an unusual snorkel monster with permanently attached flippers, sets out on the journey to life’s school. There, he is mocked by classmates and feels misunderstood by adults and societal expectations. His encounter with the eccentric school janitor, who loves old schlager music and her portable radio, becomes a turning point. Both outsiders long for recognition and develop a special friendship.
The touching story explores the desire for freedom and self-determination amid the tension between rules and performance pressure. Through acting, acrobatics, dance, and the music of old street tunes from the portable radio, a lively, imaginative production unfolds. The cast includes Pamina Milewska and Raphael Steiner, directed by Reinhold Tritscher.
