Max – The Snorkel Monster: A Play for the Whole Family

In this family-friendly play for ages five and up, the imaginative story of Max is told—a "unlovable snorkel monster" with permanently attached fins. On his journey into the school of life, Max is teased by other children and feels misunderstood by adults and societal expectations. Then he meets the eccentric school janitor, who tries to "get everything right" with her suitcase radio and old hits. The two outsiders develop a special friendship, accompanied by acrobatics, dance, and music from the suitcase radio.

The play centers on themes such as the desire for recognition, freedom, and self-determination—contrasted with rules, performance pressure, and a lack of genuine connection. With humor and poetry, it tells the story of the challenges of being different and the power of true bonds. The cast includes Pamina Milewska and Raphael Steiner, directed by Reinhold Tritscher.
