Max – The Snorkeling Monster

"Max – The Snorkel Monster" is a family-friendly play for ages 5 and up by Beat Fäh. At its heart is Max, a snorkel monster with permanently attached fins who emerges from the water and must assert himself in the "School of Life." Taunted by classmates and misunderstood by adults, Max struggles with performance pressure and societal expectations. A special encounter changes everything: the eccentric school janitor loves her portable radio, old schlager hits, and even climbs curtains to remove cobwebs. She, too, wants to "do everything right" – and finds in Max a kindred spirit.

The imaginative story explores themes of friendship, self-determination, and the desire for recognition. Through acting, acrobatics, dance, and music from old street tunes played on the portable radio, a moving production unfolds. The cast features Pamina Milewska and Raphael Steiner, directed by Reinhold Tritscher. The costumes are designed by Viktoria Semperboni.
