Maximilian Kromer presents a piano evening dedicated to exploring Mozart’s musical legacy and its reception by other composers. The program brings together works inspired by Mozart’s style or reflecting his music. Featured are Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Sonata in E-flat major, Op. 31/3, an Allegro by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, as well as pieces by Franz Xaver Wolfgang Mozart—including variations on a minuet from Don Giovanni and melancholic polonaises from Op. 17 and Op. 22. The selection is rounded out by three études or caprices by Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga and Mozart’s own Piano Sonata in E-flat major, K. 282. The compilation spans from classical elegance to virtuosic experimentation, inviting listeners to rediscover Mozart’s influence on music history.
