Poetry Slam: Questioning Patriarchy Together
organized by AK Salzburg
Eight female poets engage with feminist themes – pointedly, emotionally, and full of visions for a more just society. An evening of word art and social critique.
Description
This poetry slam focuses on the theme of feminism. Eight performing female artists explore feminist questions with pointed social criticism and vivid language. They question why the term 'feminist' is often negatively connoted, examine the value of feminism, and discuss strategies against the ongoing backlash. Additionally, they develop visions for a gender-just society.
Special feature of the event: Only women will be on stage, but all genders are warmly invited to attend as listeners. The evening will be hosted by Katja Ilnizky and musically accompanied by DJ Radikabel. An evening for anyone interested in equality and social change.
