Description

In the historic Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, Ensemble 1756 presents a concert of Baroque and Classical music. On period instruments, Mozart’s early Salzburg Divertimenti in D major (KV 136) and F major (KV 138) as well as Antonio Vivaldi’s famous violin concerto "The Four Seasons" will be heard. Founded in Salzburg in 2006, the ensemble specializes in the music of the 17th and 18th centuries with stylistic precision and captivates with its authentic sound. With the participation of Baroque violinist Florian Moser, a sonic unity emerges that brings the rhetoric and elegance of the era to life. With international performances and a rare homogeneity, the ensemble ranks among the leading representatives of historically informed performance practice.
