Description

In the Baroque Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, Ensemble 1756 presents a concert on historical instruments. The program combines Mozart's early Salzburg divertimenti in D major (KV 136) and F major (KV 138) with Vivaldi's masterpiece "The Four Seasons"—a highlight of Baroque program music.

Founded in 2006, the ensemble captivates with its authentic sound, achieved through balanced line-ups featuring Baroque strings, harpsichord, and other original instruments. Under the direction of Florian Moser, Baroque violinist, the orchestra dedicates itself to historically informed interpretations of works from the 17th and 18th centuries. The combination of technical precision and historical performance practice makes this concert a special experience for lovers of classical music.
