Description

Following the award-winning children's book by Christine Nöstlinger, the dance piece "Anna and the Rage" tells the story of the girl Anna, who struggles with her uncontrollable rage. Suddenly, she is overcome by the feeling—her cheeks burn, her body trembles, and she cannot help but rage, scream, or lash out. Instead of suppressing her anger, Anna seeks a way to live with it.

Choreographer Kate Watson and set designer Josef Vesely bring this emotional journey to life with two dancers. Movement and music merge into a dynamic interplay of explosions, transformations, and moments of silence. Eva Musil, responsible for set design and costumes, creates a transformable space that makes bodies, sound, and emotions visible. A piece about dealing with strong emotions, aimed at children aged five and up as well as adults—and it asks the question: Can one truly escape their rage?
