Description

As part of the 1st Salzburg Stefan Zweig Days, the Salzburg State Theatre and the Salzburg News, as media partners, invite you to a panel discussion. The focus is on the question of whether Salzburg needs its own house for Stefan Zweig – particularly in light of the Stefan Zweig Villa and its potential role as a cultural memorial site.

The debate provides an opportunity to exchange views on the public handling of Zweig's literary legacy and its significance for the city. Following the discussion, Zweig's psychological novella "Schachnovelle" (The Royal Game) will be performed, which deals with isolation, power, and human resistance. A combination of literary reflection and staged presentation.
