The Scharoun Ensemble Berlin performs a diverse program featuring works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Paul Hindemith. The concert includes Bach's English Suite No. 2 in A minor BWV 807, arranged for eight instruments by Jesse Jones. Beethoven's Piano Quintet in E-flat major Op. 16 combines piano with oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon, while Hindemith's Octet showcases the ensemble's rich sonic diversity.
Notable soloists performing include Wolfram Brandl and Christophe Horák (violin), Micha Afkham (viola), Claudio Bohórquez (cello), as well as Alexander Bader (clarinet) and Markus Weidmann with Andrej Žust (bassoon).
