Description

The French pianist Henri Louis, celebrated for his performances in Europe's most prestigious concert halls, presents an evening of piano masterpieces by Mozart, Chopin, and Mendelssohn Bartholdy. His playing combines technical brilliance with poetic expressiveness – from Mozart’s lyrical Sonata in B-flat major K. 333 to Chopin’s dramatic Sonata in B-flat minor, Op. 35, whose famous Funeral March is one of the highlights of piano literature.

Henri Louis’ interpretations are marked by a rich variety of sounds: sometimes virtuosic, sometimes delicate and dreamy, always delivered with passionate devotion. In addition to his concert career, he also impresses as a performer, such as in the role of pianist Erwin Bootz in the musical theater piece Somewhere in the World – The Comedian Harmonists. An evening that blurs the boundaries between concert and stage art.
