Description

In the magnificent marble hall of Schloss Mirabell, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, Ensemble 1756, together with solo clarinetist Marius Birtea, presents a concert featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Carl Maria von Weber. The program includes Mozart’s youthful and light Divertimento in D major K. 136, Weber’s sonorous Quintet for Clarinet and Strings in B-flat major Op. 34, and the overture to Mozart’s opera "Le Nozze di Figaro" K. 492. The highlight of the evening is Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A major K. 622, a work of timeless beauty and emotional depth.

Ensemble 1756, founded in Salzburg, brings together musicians who completed their training at the Mozarteum and now perform in renowned orchestras. With flexible lineups ranging from trios to chamber orchestras, the ensemble combines chamber music refinement with a vibrant ensemble culture. Program changes are possible.
