Palace Concert Featuring Works by Mozart in the Marble Hall

In this castle concert in the baroque Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, one of Salzburg's most historically significant concert halls, where the Mozart family once performed for the Salzburg archbishops, Ensemble 1756, together with solo clarinetist Marius Birtea, dedicates itself exclusively to works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The program spans from the youthful lightness of the Divertimento in D major KV 136 to the expressive depth of the Clarinet Concerto in A major KV 622, one of the most beautiful works in the clarinet repertoire. The evening is complemented by the Clarinet Quintet in A major KV 581 and the overture to "Le Nozze di Figaro".

Ensemble 1756, founded in Salzburg and composed of graduates from the Mozarteum University, combines chamber music finesse with a vibrant ensemble culture. The musicians, who are now active in renowned orchestras and ensembles, perform in flexible formations and promise a sonorous interpretation of the selected pieces.
